If you find you have multiple horizontal folds of fabric in your bra cup, you might have too much vertical length.
If you find that you have tightness, stress lines, or a flat spot at the apex, you might need to increase the projection. Projection is how much/far the breast sticks out from the body.
It's a new year and I'm changing things up a bit. Instead of posting public calls for pattern testers, I'm going to start an email list for pattern testers. It feels more exciting on publishing day if the pattern has been secret. If you wish to join the list for future pattern testing opportunities, please sign up.
You can find further detail about my pattern testing procedure on the pattern testing policy page. Happy Sewing! I couldn't publish patterns without the hard work and feedback from my pattern testers. Here are their creations for the Emil Boxer Brief.
Why sew your own underwear? Why sew your own underwear? Panties are a quick and easy sewing project, and are a great way to use up scraps from other makes. You can customize the fit and finishes for your own needs. My undie patterns solve some of the most common fit issues (I'm looking at you, gusset!) and come in a wide variety of style options. You don't need a serger or a fancy sewing machine, you just need to sew straight and zigzag stitches. Come sew a Reyna Hi-Cut with me! For those who are more visual, I made a complete sewing video tutorial. I am thankful for all the hard work of my pattern testers. They helped me iron out the kinks in my Reyna Hi-Cut pattern, and came up with lovely projects. Here are their creations.
I was especially thankful for the feedback from my pattern testers during my recent test for the Val Breast Form. I originally developed this pattern to make soft protheses for my sister-in-law, and her breast cancer treatment didn't include chemo or radiation. I had to make some changes to the pattern to make it more friendly for people who have more sensitive skin due to their treatments, and my testers were really great about helping me problem solve.
As one of my testers said, no more sad beige! I was so happy to see Val made in bright and cheerful fabrics. Here are their beautiful creations. I am very happy to share with you my new pattern, the Annika Wireless Bra with Mastectomy Pocket & Flat Cup options!
Need to move the apex position up or down in the Annika Wireless Bra? This tutorial is for you.
I'm really thankful to have worked with such a fantastic group of pattern testers for my Annika Wireless Bra pattern! Their hard work and feedback helped me bring my pattern to life. Below are their lovely creations.
